Ana is one of the founding principal of b720, a young architecture office established in Barcelona, Spain with Fermín Vázquez. The b720 studio which has a second office in Madrid, Spain has won a plethora of internationally recognized design acheivement awards. The firm is responsible for a fabulous contemporary lighting intervention which transformed the historical Plaza del Torico in Teruel, Spain.
Recently, their City of Justice won the RIBA Award 2010 and the World Architecture Festival, category Community Buildings-Law Court. In 2007, their America’s Cup building won the European RIBA Award and was finalist of Mies Van der Rohe Prize, IX Bienal Española de Arquitectura y Urbanismo and the Stirling Prize.

Helmut Bien directs Luminale, a transdisciplinary festival about lighting and energy and the qualities of urban living. He also hosts luminapolis.com, “a platform for everyone working with light: Designers, architects, artists..." Luminapolis reports about light events, festivals, exhibitions and public places”. Bien has published “The International Lighting Design Index”, a resource for lighting designers.

A director of Atelier Ten and head of the New Haven office, Mark is an accomplished lighting and environmental designer. Emphasizing integrated and resourceful design to enhance the visual experience of buildings, he has lectured widely and consulted on many significant green building projects both in the United States and abroad. An editorial advisor to Architectural Lighting magazine, he is a professional member of the International Association of Lighting Designers.

Otto Piene is an experimental artist who lives and works in Dusseldorf, Germany and Groton, Massachusetts . He has directed the Center for Advanced Visual Studies at MIT and has received the Sculpture Prize of the American Academy of Arts and Letters, NY.

Working on interdisciplinary platforms, Nader Tehrani’s research has been focused on the transformation of the building industry, innovative material applications, and the development of new means and methods of construction. As the founding principal of Office dA, Tehrani’s work received many prestigious awards. Tehrani is also a professor and the head of the department of architecture at the MIT School of Architecture and Planning.
