The parameter of the barge is lined in PVC pipes of varying heights. When the wind blows, the pipes would produce sounds. The middle portion of the barge is free space allowing visitors to walk around and listen to the pipe noises.

The Beach Barge brings the beach to the city. The barge would be covered with plywood for a walking path, a native beach grass garden, and places around the grass would be crushed shells and sand for visitors to play in.

A possible legal nightmare or just lots of fun, this design proposed for a giant trampoline to be constructed over the barge. Visitors could leap and jump over the sea, like a fish out of water.

Reminiscent of Boston’s original landscape of marshes this design aims to bring back a long ago landscape. A wood beam structure, similar to the skeleton of a whale would cover the barge. Below the wood covering are benches for visitors and small patches of native grasses.

Using the power of the wind, BARge Boston is a floating restaurant that harnesses the power of the wind. Wooden windmills on top of a wooden roof harvest the wind to create energy for the restaurant and coffee bar below.

A canopy made from wood and rope; this proposal was meant to soothe the visitor and create a sense of calm and peace within a busy city.

This design included a simple long table with chairs on either end. In the middle there would be a fresh seawater pool that would hold live seafood. Baristas would serve patrons whatever they desired from this floating restaurant.

Flex 10 covers the barge with a flexible canopy that moves with human interaction and the changing tides. It is meant to reflect Boston's history of land moving for construction and the represent the power of the ocean.

A garden that grows with visitor participation. Visitors would be allowed to bring their own unwanted items to contribute to the sculpture garden design.

This team designed a wave shaped canopy constructed out of used plastic bottles. A solar powered light system would light up the structure at night.
