A discussion panel moderated by Brian Healy with jury member Audrey O'Hagan, Maria Aiolova, Co-Founder of Terrefuge and Terreform ONE (filling in for Mitchell Joaquim), and special guest Carlo Ratti, Director of MIT SENSEable City Lab presented the top ideas from the 141 submissions from 14 states and 16 countries to the SHIFTboston Ideas Competition. Projects presented covered a variety of themes including technology, environment, transportation and fun.
The competition winner was announced to the maximum capacity audience of government, community and business leaders, artists, architects, and design professionals. The winning team of Sapir Ng and Andrzej Zarzycki was presented with their US$1,000 prize check for their idea TUTS: Tremont underground theater space.
